Cycle Aware is an Australia wide research project looking at how drivers learn to interact with cyclists. It focuses on the education and training received by people in the early stages of driving such as pre-learner, learner and probationary drivers. The ultimate aim of the project is to foster safer driver-cyclist interactions.

This study is a collaboration between researchers at the University of Adelaide, Monash University and Queensland University of Technology. It is supported by the Australian Research Council’s Linkage Grant scheme and Partner Organisations: Motor Accident Commission, Amy Gillett Foundation, Adelaide City Council, Royal Automobile Association, SA Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure and NT Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics.
