The study has four main objectives to:
1. Develop an understanding of how drivers and pre-drivers are currently taught to interact with cyclists in Australian States and Territories.
2. Analyse crashes involving bike riders and drivers to identify the problems which Cycle Aware should focus on.
3. Develop theoretical innovations that can be applied in both road safety research and the social sciences more broadly.
4. Create a Cycle Aware module and recommend related changes to driver licensing and testing materials.
